A native to Western Europe and North Africa, Anthemis nobilis is a low growing flowering perennial plant. The name comes from the Greek meaning ground apple – due to its pleasant fragrance. Generally smaller than Chamomile German, growing to around 30cm, it possesses a series of angelates and butyrate esters. This plant has been used since ancient times for lowering fevers, hormonal support and as a gentle yet effective sleep aid. It can be consumed as tea, taken in pill form or, of course, as an essential oil.
The Egyptians dedicated this plant to the sun as it was believed to cure fevers. Roman Chamomile has traditionally been included in shampoos to lighten hair when exposed to the sun. It has long been considered a soothing plant used for anxiety, stress and the promotion of sleep. It has been diluted in topical blends to reduce inflammation of cuts and skin irritations and to ease discomfort of swollen gums. It was found to be particularly suitable for the young and fragile and has also been indicated for temper tantrums and nightmares.

Precautions
This product is already a 3% blend and does not require further dilution. It can be added to a blend or gel or simply applied as it is. Not suitable for use in a diffuser or the bath. Very safe if used as directed. Safe to use with other medication when necessary. Avoid contact with eyes – flush with water. Keep out of reach of children.
Allergies: This oil blend does not contain any nut oils, however, the place of manufacture handles nut oils.

Directions
Sleep
Massage into pulse points before bed or when sleep is disrupted.
Teething – babies
Rub this blend onto baby’s neck and cheeks, as required.
Colic – babies
Massage 10 drops gently onto baby’s stomach in a clockwise direction. Repeat hourly as required.
Fever – babies
Massage 10 drops gently onto baby’s back and stomach every hour. Always monitor fever very carefully and consult a health specialist to rule out serious illness.
Fever – adults
Add 20 drops to cold compress and apply to ankles, repeat every 30 minutes. Always monitor fever very carefully and consult a health specialist to know the safe parameters and to rule out serious illness.
